École Georges Méliès is an energy efficient building of over 3,000m2 which houses all necessary equipment for the training and enrichment of students. The School is located in a park of more than 5 hectares of greenery, accessible to our students at any time for a moment of relaxation or a lunch break by the water! Studying at École Georges Méliès is about benefitting from a bright environment, which opens onto the outdoors and was designed as a professional space to provide an accessible and motivating workspace for all students.

The new École Georges Méliès building was constructed in 2014 and pays homage to the glasshouses constructed by Georges Méliès in Montreuil, the first studio in the history of film!

The Film Set
A film set fully equipped with lights, cameras and a real-time motion capture system – everything needed for combining tradition with digital.
A 150-seat cinema used for conferences, Film Analysis, History of Art, Film Club and more.
Traditional 2D Animation Room
Traditional animation tables straight out of Disney Studios! What better to learn about image animation than through image?!
An amphitheatre dedicated to learning about the human body and volume: lessons in modelling & drawing (Morphology, Anatomy, model in motion, etc.).
Music, voices and sound effects form part of the vital components in the making of a film.
Our sound engineer works and supports the students throughout their production.

Everything you need for refreshments, doing your grocery shopping or travelling, within a maximum radius of 1km!
What could be better to air the body and mind than a tree-lined park of over 5 hectares? A little lunch break in the sun by the water, less than 100 metres from the School!
A pharmacy, convenience store, restaurant, pizzeria, Post Office and bakery are all less than 5 minutes’ walking distance from the School.
The RER (C) station is located less than 10 minutes’ walking distance from the School and means you can get to the centre of Paris (François Mitterrand Library) in under 30 minutes.
Bus 183 (Mairie d’Orly or Parc Méliès stops) links you to Orly airport or the centre of Paris (Porte de Choisy).
